We will focus on the ins and outs of making major purchases for your business, how to generate income, setting yourself up on payroll, and expense reporting.

We will focus on:

  • Registering with the state if applicable.

  • Obtaining your EIN or reviewing yours if you have one.

  • Obtaining your UEI number and registering with SAMS.gov

  • Discussing the industry and why you feel the need to start a business.

  • Reviewing licensures, bonds, and insurance if applicable.

  • Your Business Address and what is a virtual address. Why you should not use your home address.

  • Obtaining a business phone number.

  • Registering for NAV and reviewing your business credit profile.

We will primarily focus on:

  • Starting the brand! Developing your logo, website, and social media account.

  • Setting up your business bank account and where to go. Yes, you can set up accounts anywhere, however, certain financial institutions provide you with more perks. We will guide you to the best places to open an account.

  • Opening vendor accounts, how they work and why you need them.

  • Registering for Self for Business.

We will primarily focus on:

  • Preparing for slow seasons.

  • Preparing for disasters.

  • How to spread out your funding.

  • Obtaining grants instead of just loans.

  • Preparing for major purchases.

  • Knowing what you need before you get it. Pre-budget.

  • Business plan development.

We will primarily focus on:

  • What type of loans and credit lines fit your business.

  • Knowing what the banks look for when you apply.

  • Preparing yourself for access to funding.

  • Matching your budget with your funding options.

  • Having a loan exit strategy, preparing for payoff.

We will review:

  • Funding options for business loans and business credit.

  • Applying for funding.

  • What funding requires a PG (Personal Guarantor).

  • How funding for business differs from personal funding (utilization, payment plans, payoff).
